Steve has over 18 years’ experience within the Education, Skills and Welfare to Work sectors at a senior level working for large and smaller training providers and College’s. As a foundation pioneer of using e-learning to achieve many ‘firsts’, dispelling the prejudices initially associated with its use, he has been fortunate to directly help shape Government strategy and evolved the way skills delivery to long-term, often isolated unemployed learners is undertaken. Instrumentally he has provided new concepts, introducing a national job search tool, which changed the way job seekers accessed the online jobs market.
More recently Steve joined the FE Employer Trailblazer Group from its inception, providing a voice for SMEs within the industry. He is passionate about how the Standards can build capacity and improve the quality of training delivery within the sector, enabling organisations to maximise the Levy and improve learning outcomes.
