Specialist Consultant, Academy Transformation Trus
Simon is a specialist consultant for Academy Transformation Trust and has worked in Further Education at a national level to develop provider provision in programmes of study, adult skills budget, advanced learner loans, apprenticeships and community learning. For over 20 years previously he combined senior leadership at secondary school level with further education, adult, and community learning, involving a range of senior management and strategic roles. As Principal he oversaw the conversion of an LA-maintained school to academy status, and the merger of FE, adult, and community learning between two Nottinghamshire community colleges. Prior to joining education Simon had a career in business administration in the private and public sector with organisations such as Marks & Spencer plc. and University College London. Simon is a qualified company secretary and sits as trustee and director on a number of company boards, and is the governor of a primary school.
