Rachel Jones

Rachel Jones

Rachel’s career in teaching evolved whilst working in the Health and Leisure industry, through creating work experience opportunities for students in Further Education.

The contribution this made to student’s learning and preparation for work inspired Rachel to focus on teaching, learning and assessment in the FE Sector. Spanning 24 years, working predominantly as a teacher and curriculum manager, she now draws on her teaching and management experience to make significant and sustained improvements to teaching, learning and assessment at Central Bedfordshire College.

The College’s askit project, recently acknowledged by Ofsted and QAA, is one example of the educational and curriculum values that Rachel holds to generate success for teachers and their students and prepare them for the world of work.
