Emily Barrell M. Ed (Leadership and Management) has worked in the Further Education and Skills sector for 19 years. She is a Quality Improvement Manager for Teaching, Learning and Assessment in an adult community learning provider in Suffolk.
Emily is known for her expertise in consultancy and project management in collaborative professional development for teachers, and supporting high performance management cultural practices.
Emily has led on a range of highly successful local and regional projects to support teacher led collaboration, as well as speaking at local and national conferences on teacher professionalism and ungraded observations.
Making a successful move to ungraded observations requires a change to organisational thinking that implements a transparent system of observation, and yet can still be used to improve the quality of teaching. This workshop explores these concepts, from our own experience as early adopters of ungraded observations 5 years ago.
