Assia Hussain

Assia was born in Pakistan but raised and educated in Yorkshire. She studied at Oxford specialising in Theology and has 16 years of teaching and training experience working across the education sector. Assia has been a key player in raising awareness through innovative approaches and strategies around the themes of integration and the Prevent agenda at a local, national and international level.

Assia is an experienced WRAP Trainer (Workshop to Raise Awareness of Prevent) and also the Prevent Operational Lead at Bradford College. In 2013 Assia was the National Lead for the LSIS Community Cohesion Partnerships Project and since then she has delivered workshops and developed various highly regarded teaching resources and guidance, focusing on Prevent and the promotion of British Values.

Assia has delivered workshops on the implementation of the Prevent Duty at various high profile national educational conferences, including AOC, FETN and Inside Government.
