Attracting diverse young people into apprenticeships through innovative work inspiration and skills programmes

City and Guilds Skills 1

2:00 pm - 2:40 pm

With the launch of the Apprenticeship Levy, the need for employers to attract, recruit and retain young people into apprenticeships has never been more critical. However, this will also increase the ‘war for talent’ and completion to bring in high quality apprentices into business. Will can speak about how innovative work inspiration and skills programmes delivered to young people whilst they are in education can educate, engage and develop them and show them the eclectic range of opportunities apprenticeships can offer. Will can also talk about how technology is key when reaching 16-24 year olds and describe tools/techniques for engaging with them online (and offline) in an timely and relevant manner.
